Neutrino Telescopes for Explosive Astrophysics

Abstract

The study of nuclear and particle astrophysics phenomena is a long standing tradition in Catania. A huge undersea neutrino telescope, KM3Net, is presently being implemented roughly 100 km from the Sicilian shore (details at km3net@org). Various thesis subject are available, both on the experimental and the phenomenological side. The work will be done in collaboration with INFN Laboratori Nazionali del Sud and Sezione di Catania. Please contact prof. Silvio Cherubini for details.
