| The Cantina Sperimentale Iblea cultural association was born in Noto in the province of Syracuse on 24 April 2012, with the aim of promoting artistic, cultural and social aggregation activities in the regional and national territory. From 2013 to today, the association has been the main promoter, with the constant support of the municipality of Noto, the Italian Ministry of Culture and private sponsors, of the multidisciplinary festival (theater, music, cinema, contemporary art) Codex Festival. The constant activity carried out by the association with the contribution of the members has seen the growth of collaborations with important local authorities, such as, for example the National Institute of Ancient Drama , the Stabile Theater from Catania and the Tina di Lorenzo Theater from Noto. |

Codex Festival- The Establishment of Contemporary Cultural Events
Brief description
Codex Festival was born in 2013 in Noto and opens to prepare its tenth edition. The festival venues in recent years have been many: from the Convitto delle Arti to the Tina Di Lorenzo Theater, passing through the Hall of Mirrors of Palazzo Ducezio, the hall of the festivities of Palazzo Nicolaci and the many squares and suggestive views of the city.
But maybe now you should find out more about the location of the festival. So, the fabled, pure gem of Baroque art in Sicily’s southeast corner, the UNESCO-protected town of Noto is really worth visiting. Sicilian Baroque architecture is at its best in Noto, an architectural supermodel. South-east Sicily’s shoreline offers many great seascapes, and the Gulf of Noto contains a number of wonderful ones. A short drive east of Noto are some of the greatest beaches not just in Sicily or even Italy, but in all of Europe.
Codex Festival brings a contemporary and refining touch to Noto. Every year we invite teenagers to get involved in different ways in organizing the festival. We encourage them to express themselves, to use their creativity to help us build something stronger and sustainable every year.
Offering internship this year would give us the opportunity to improve the quality of our cultural establishments. We will analyze performances. We would be able to work together to develop our audience using all available platforms. Fun is included. Indulging in long summer nights watching contemporary and experimental theater show, that will make us reflect on ourselves, is included. We would appreciate some hard skills and some soft skills, of course, in the end theater is ART.
