Isola Quassùd was founded in Catania in 2004. Its primary aim is that of promoting encounters among different cultures as a means of socio-cultural enrichment. It promotes good practices in the field of theatre, culture and arts in general, encouraging and supporting creativity of young people in the artistic field. All activities are carried out through multi-year thematic projects, closely linked with each other, and are developed through a continuous creative process that favours intercultural inclusion, taking into account the complexity that every coexistence between different cultures encompasses.
The association is accredited with several universities for traineeships. Some of its projects received funding from national and international institutions.
